Sweetness in Seward Park
Hello everyone!
I hope your week has been flowing with ease. I am stoked to say the Polaroid Pop-up at the beginning of the month was an amazing success, thanks in part to several of you! I am so grateful to all the folks who came out to raise money for Palestine and get a Polaroid taken. It was SO fun, and I can’t believe how many lovely, kind, and talented people I met at the event.
Here is one of my favorite shots from the day.
I’m already in the early stages of planning another Polaroid Pop-up before the year is out, and of course you all will be the first to know about it! Stay tuned.
It is a rainy day in Seattle and I am sitting down with my coffee to browse through some of my recent shoots from the end of summer and beginning of fall. Now that I am no longer using Instagram, I tend to spend a lot more time looking back through my photographs and savoring each of them, which feels really good. Instead of thinking about which images will “perform” well on social media, I can just think about which are my favorites—and if I am lucky, I get to hear about my clients’ faves as well!
One of the things I love about having been in Seattle for so long now is getting to photograph the same folks again and again through the years. It is so amazing to see people change over time and to make art documenting their journeys. Just a few weeks ago I got to capture Julia and her twins Ari & Phoebe again for the second time, and it was such apleasure to see how they’ve grown since I saw them last! This time, Julia’s mom also joined us, which was incredibly special—I love documenting intergenerational families. Here are some of my favorite images from our time together in Seward Park.
I’ll be back in a couple of weeks with some AMAZING photos I took last month with Emmy of Fabled Flora. If you absolutely can’t wait, you can already see a few of them up on her website right now. I am so excited to share them with you all!
Thank you for being here.
Until next time,
Holly
