Ruby at Dash Point

Hello dear readers,

It is a foggy day in Seattle and as I biked Rigby to preschool this morning I admired the already-changing leaves of fall. Every single year it feels so good to arrive in this season. I experience a real satisfaction after the rush of action that summer requires as the busy season for my business. This month especially I am relishing in a momentary feeling of completion. The weather cooperated so often this summer and photoshoots happened with minimal reschedules and snags. I co-created so many amazing photographs with my clients, and I await even more images from the film lab that I know are going to be incredible. I plan to go so much further and do so much more with photography, but for now, I am relishing in the feeling that I have done enough. I am grateful to fall for ushering in this feeling of wholeness.

Summer has also meant not sending newsletters as often, another reason that I am welcoming a change of seasons. Having time for all the tasks related to the care and maintenance of my business is something I am really looking forward to.

On that note, let’s dive into some new work shot with one of my favorite people! Ruby and I met in 2020 (shout out to Sterling for the introduction) and we have made sure to collaborate at least once a year since then. She is one of those people whose life updates are as important to me as the photos we create—but the photos still matter alot. Here are a few of my favorites from our shoot this summer at Dash Point Beach.

Thank you for being here! I hope this email brought a little extra joy and beauty to your day. I will be back in your inboxes soon with more new work and updates.

Until next time,
Holly
